taking a break
I know I haven't updated for a very long time. I'd be lying if I said photography hasn't been on my mind and heart a lot lately.
Truth is, it's cold outside. Very cold. And I'm from the South, so I don't tolerate anything below freezing for very long at all. Which seriously limits the sessions that I can do, since I don't currently have an indoor studio. I love the snowy landscape that Iowa has mid-winter, but attempting to get a good shot of a fence line when you're shivering to no end is nearly impossible. So I've taken a slight winter hiatus.
I'm also extremely busy with taking a master's toxicology course and obtaining my EMT certification in my spare time.
I did enjoy some great times with family over Christmas and got some really great shots for my personal collection.

Soon enough the weather will warm up, or a great indoor photographic opportunity will present itself and I'll find myself "chasing the shot" again. Cheers to the new year.
